WATER STEWARDSHIP
A “NET-POSITIVE” NEIGHBOR
ZERO Potable Water Use: The facility uses 100% reclaimed wastewater. It will not touch a single drop of Colorado River water allocated for farming or residential drinking.
Fixing the System: The developer is funding the infrastructure to treat wastewater that is currently dumped into drains.
The Math: The project will enable the reclamation of 4 million gallons per day (MGD) but only consumes ~0.75 MGD.
The Result: A surplus of recycled water for the community and a new revenue stream for the City of El Centro.
